Brake Ducts

Used 3″ HoseCraft silicone ducting routed from two NACA ducts mounted by the intercooler. 3″ aluminum tubing was used by the engine pulleys and to shape air delivery to the calipers. Intial results indicate significant cooling and zero brake fade (though this wasn’t much of a problem before). Caliper temp paint indicates a reduction in excess of 100 degrees, though more testing is required at different tracks. Pics to be posted.

I like how the setup turned out, now we just need to replicate something similar for my E46 (have any ducting left over)?

Why not run the silicone ducting all the way, was the aluminum used to prevent rubbing?

Yep, the tube keeps the hose off of the pulleys.
